SIMOS 8.5 was used in VW/Audi 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen 2 engines, found in Golf VI, Passat B7, Audi A3 8P, A4 B8, and early Tiguan models.

SIMOS 12 was introduced for EA888 Gen 3 2.0 TSI engines, common in Golf VII, Passat B8, Audi A3 8V, and A4 B9.

SIMOS 12.2 is an updated version of SIMOS 12, used in later EA888 Gen 3 engines, including some Skoda Octavia III and Superb III models.

SIMOS 15 is found in newer EA888 Gen 4 2.0 TSI engines, used in models like Golf VIII, Passat B9, and Audi A3 8Y.
